A COUPLE were both arrested after a row during which furniture was damaged at their home.
Brian Slinger, 48, and Lesley Sabin, 43, both of Queensway in Warton, admitted breach of the peace and were each bound over in the sum of £100 for 12 months by Blackpool magistrates.

Jim Mowbray, prosecuting, said a witness saw Sabin throwing clothes out of the front door and shouting obscenities at her boyfriend and neighbours on the evening of July 1.

Police who went to the address heard shouting coming from
inside and when they entered they saw a broken table and a smashed plantpot.

Sabin, who had been drinking, told an officer they had argued over a letter which arrived.

Slinger, who had a can of lager in his hand, was abusive and
aggressive, puffing up his chest towards police.

Both defendants told magistrates they had nothing to say about the incident.
