MOTORISTS faced traffic chaos this morning following a crash at a busy South Shore junction.

A red Honda Prelude and red Peugeot 106 collided at the traffic lights under Watson Road bridge at 7.45am, blocking the junction.

Police warned drivers to expect delays while the debris was cleared from the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to help with traffic flow while the vehicles are removed. There were no injuries but the cars are quite badly damaged.

The vehicles were locked together and blocked the road."
