A 33-year-old man was assaulted and robbed as he was cycling through Astley Village.
Police say three people carried out the street robbery at the Broadfields estate, Astley Village, at around 11.30pm on Monday.

They say the victim was knocked off his bike and punched and kicked as he lay on the floor.

The offenders stole a mobile phone and £300.

Paramedics took the man to Chorley and South Ribble Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police have arrested three 18-year-olds in connection with the incident.
