The wife of Chorley father-of-two Martin Daniels who died when he was struck by a train has paid tribute to a 'loving family man, father, husband and son'.
Friends and family of the popular 39-year-old are trying to come to terms with the nature of the tragedy, which is still being investigated.

Speaking at the family's home in Ringway, Chorley, his devastated widow Fiona said her husband had enriched the lives of so many people.

"He had time for everybody," she said. "He could make friends at the drop of a hat. People have said he was the nicest person you could ever meet.

"He was loving family man, father, husband and son. He was a natural comedian and the best companion you could have.

"He was a one-off. Nothing could replace him."

Comforted by the couple's two daughters, Hannah, 14, and nine-year-old Georgia, Fiona said football was the other passion in the life of her husband of nearly 15 years.
