A man found hanged in the grounds of Chorley hospital has been named as Leonard Eustace.
Mr Eustace, 52, from the Liptrott area of Chorley, is thought to have lived alone and is thought to have grown up children living outside the area.

His body was found at 5.40am on Thursday next to the two storey staff car park close to Euxton Lane.

It is believed that an early morning dog walker made the grim discovery along a popular walking route.

He had a bag of personal belongings close to him and his wallet was in his pocket.

Detectives are attempting to trace his next of kin. Insp Damian Kitchen said: "The inquiries are under way and at this stage the incident is not being treated a suspicious."

The car park is for staff only and was open as normal later the same day.

It is understood that Mr Eustace was not a patient at the hospital.
