A professional gang of shoplifters is targeting a chain of Chorley shops.
Kevin Hunt, managing director of Lawrence Hunt & Co, which runs Spar stores in Talbot Road and Runshaw Lane, Euxton; one in Eaves Lane in Chorley; and another in Spendmoor Lane, Coppull, said all his outlets have been hit by an increase in thefts.

He said the stores could be up to £200 out-of-pocket every week because of shoplifting.

Despite dozens of stores being fitted with brand new hard disk CCTV systems, Mr Hunt said professional gangs are targeting high quality goods to make quick money.
