Tributes have been paid to a talented performer and loving mum from Chorley who has died suddenly at the age of 56.
Mum-of-three Gina Stringer, who has toured the world as a professional ice dancer, model, singer and actress, died after suffering a brain haemorrhage at home earlier this month.

Now tributes have flooded in to the 'inspirational and talented' per
former.

Devastated partner Paul Atherton, 28, who performed in a duo, Shiver, with the late star for 11 years, said: "She was such an inspiration to me and to lots of other people.

"She was so naturally talented and could turn her hand to anything from
ice dancing to acting and singing and dancing.

"It's such a great loss but we are left with many, many happy memories."

Gina, originally from Middlesex, started modelling before she could even walk with regular work modelling baby products.

She later enrolled at Barbara Speake Stage School, where the likes of musician Phil Collins, model Naomi Campbell and comedian Brian Conley were trained.

By the time she was a teenager she was performing across Europe and Russia as an ice dancer with the prestigious Vienna Ice Revue and worked as an actress on ITV children's show New Forest Rustlers.

She later toured with the internationaly-famous Holiday On Ice show and featured in numerous ice pantomimes.

Sister Donna Nicholls said: "Gina was the youngest of three siblings and she always showed a really unique talent."

Gina was also a keen animal lover and she was known for rescuing animals.

She moved to Coppull more than a decade ago after securing work on ice productions in Blackpool. She met partner Paul when he started working as a roadie for a former musical group she was part of. Before long the pair set up their own duo, Shiver.

Paul said: "She never realised how many friends and fans she had."
She leaves behind three children from a previous relationship – John
Paul, 32, Oliver, 18, Timmy, 16.

The funeral is being arranged by B Livesey Ltd on 01257 262602.
