Police in Chorley arrested two men after finding 139 wraps of heroin and cash during a search.

Officers found the Class A drug and around £500 as they searched two men on Aniline Street, Chorley, on Friday.

The men are believed to be from Liverpool and have been charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

They appeared at Chorley Magistrates Court on Monday and are due to appear at Preston Crown Court in June.

Sgt Kevin Mountain, of Chorley police, said: "The drugs and money were found as officers carried out a search on the street.

"We had community intelligence of drugs being sold in the area and our patrols targeted the area as a result of that."
