Gerry Platt : Acknowledgement
PLATT GERRY - Rita wishes to thank, all our family and friends for their loving support, many sympathy cards and donations to Rainbow House. To the many people who attended Gerry’s funeral, especially our friends from The Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society, your presence uplifted me and gave me great comfort, to Gerry’s friends from ‘The Printers’, he so enjoyed his Friday nights playing 5s & 3s with you. Special thanks to our dear friend, Lay Reader Stan Hazlewood for the beautiful service, to our friend Pauline Chapman who played the hymns and our dear grandchildren, Robert and Heather for the moving eulogies they wrote and read for their dearly loved granddad. Very special thanks to our very dear friend Arlene Hart and her caring family for the wonderful buffet and for always ‘being there’ whenever needed, she knows how Gerry and I regarded her. Thanks to the Royal British Legion Coppull for the use of the premises. Thanks are due to Doctors Brown and Harrison from Acreswood Surgery, to all the departments who dealt with Gerry in Chorley Hospital and to the brilliant Minerva Centre for rheumatology Preston, to the excellent girls from Housing 21 especially Alison for being there on the day when I needed her, also the paramedics and police. Thanks to Carl Kenyon and his staff for their kindnesses and caring funeral arrangements. God Bless You All.
