I can remember their names
Flashback reader Josie Wareing brought in this old photograph of her school chums.
She was Josie Harrison at the time and is pictured on the back row on the right.
Mrs Wareing, of Chorley, said the picture was taken in 1950 at St Gregory's School, Weldbank.
And amazingly enough she can remember the names of most of the people on the picture.
There are just fournames she can't remember so if anyone can help fill in the blanks they should contact the Flashback desk on 01257 264911.
Mrs Wareing said the picture shows; back row, left to right, Rita Catterall, ?, Eileen Armstrong and Josie Harrison. On the next row, from the left is Audrey Roscoe, Maureen McNamara, Kathy Henliky, Eileen McCelland, Maureen Cassidy, Pat Brown, Margaret Mullrooney and Dorothy Aspinall.
The next row shows from the left Bridget Walsh, Ann Zetter, Winifred Goulding, ?, Margaret Hamer, Rita Billington, Teresa Catterall, Rita Makinson and the names of the last two on that row Mrs Wareing doesn't know.
At the front are Marie Cooper and Maureen Hodson.
Mrs Wareing was prompted to bring in the picture of her former classmates after spotting her husband Ken Wareing on a Chorley Schoolboys football team photograph published in a recent Flashback.
She said Ken was 14 when the picture was taken and she met him the following year.
She added: "I used to go and watch him play and he was that good they wanted him to play for Chorley but he wouldn't, he was a bit shy really. He became a motor mechanic and worked at Bradshaw's Motor House in Chorley."
