Bark in the Park fun galore

Did you hear the tail about the wag in Worden Park that raised funds for a Lostock Hall charity?

Well, it appears that St Catherine’s Hospice’s second-Bark in the Park two-mile stroll managed to raise around £3,000.

And word has it that more than 100 four-legged friends were involved on the day.

Event organiser Emma Jacovelli said: “It was a great success, with more than 100 supporters walking their dogs on behalf of the hospice. So far we have raised around £3,000.

“It’s a twist on the usual sponsored event, and maybe attracting a different kind of supporter, involving around a two-mile leisurely walk.”
