An up and coming girl group returned to their roots when they filmed their latest music video in a Chorley coffee shop.

Manager of Goodies coffee shop in Cannon Street, Jon Akroyd, was shocked when he received a call from Chorley-born band member of The Seraphims, Samantha Hilton, to ask if they could use his place as a scene for their video.

He said: “I was really pleased they wanted to use a local firm, because it can be hard to stand out, but Sam had been in and thought it was the perfect setting for their song, Not Another Monday.

“I got dragged in to being in the film too, but I didn’t mind.”

The girls have recently been taken on by top PR firm, SMC Europe, which represents big names such as Jay-Z and Ne-Yo.

It is not Samantha’s first shot at fame - though she won a Guardian singing competition in 2002.
