A reader has kindly supplied to the Guardian a selection of photographs he’s taken of Chorley railway station over the years, after ringing us to identify a photo we published a couple of weeks ago.

Tom Morris pointed out that the picture of a group of smartly dressed men was taken at the railway station, as he recognised the water crane in the background.

It was taken down in 1968, but Tom has some photos of the station which also show the water tower.
