Ten men and four women have been charged following a cross-border police operation to crackdown on suspected travelling criminals.
Daniel Edwards, 23, of Gilcroft, Chorley, was charged with driving a vehicle when alcohol level above the limit, failing to stop at a road accident, obstructing a constable and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
He has been bailed to appear at Ormskirk Magistrates’ Court on August 30.
They were all arrested as part of a four-day operation, which ran from August 17-20 August, and saw officers carry out 265 stopchecks on vehicles across West Lancashire.
An additional 10 people were arrested as part of the operation and have since been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
Two cautions and 48 fixed penalty notices were also issued and nine vehicles were either seized or served with prohibition notices.
