A feast of a film
Chorley Film Society is back with a fantastic new season of movies.
Kicking off this year's programme is period drama Young Victoria on Sunday, September 13, starring young British stars including Emily Blunt and Paul Bettany.
The society has invested 18,000 in new projection equipment to get hi-definition pictures on the 24ft screen at Chorley Little Theatre.
The season, which runs until April, will feature 16 hit movies starring the likes of Kate Winslet, Michael Caine, Helen Mirren, and even Fred Astaire.
The season is dedicated to former chairman John Hughes, who died in July, and will include a showing of his favourite film The Long Day Closes.
Screenings also include classics like Whistle Down the Wind and comedy.
Sunday evening showings are 4 and start at 7.30pm. Midweek showings at 2.30pm cost 2. Season tickets are 25 (for all 16 films). For more visit www.chorleyfilm.co.uk.
