Eight acts, including singing sensation Millie Mae-Hill and The Philip Quigley Ensemble, will perform on stage. There will also be a host of children’s activities, facepainting and local stallholders.

Entry is £3.50 and children are free. All money raised will go towards restoring the entrance and tower at Bank Hall.

Organiser Laura Soothill said: “Bank Hall has been part of our history since it was built in 1608. It was even used for communications in the Second World War. Unfortunately after that, it was not looked after and when lead was stolen from the roof, it has been collapsing. We set up Friends of Bank Hall to raise funds to preserve the heritage and save the building.

“A developer has now got involved and it will be made into houses and flats and we will retain the entrance and tower. We have applied for lottery funding and hope to start building work later in the year. It will be done in three phases. Building the houses is phase one; creating a potting shed and a walled garden is phase two and three.

“We invite everyone to attend as it will be a lot of fun and will help Bank Hall.”
