Students from Southlands High School dressed to the nines for the leavers’ prom.
The Year 11 prom was held at Kilhey Court in Standish, and deputy headteacher Brian Souter said: “As always there were the usual array of limousines on show and students were dressed extremely smartly, showing off their finery.
“It was a very enjoyable evening, and the English staff performed their Group Singing Act and a number of awards were made.
“The greatest applause of the night was reserved for Katie Le Marinel, who three years ago was knocked down in an accident on Moor Road and was severely injured.
“Katie has shown great determination to recover from her injuries and she was invited back to school to share the evening with her former school friends.”
