A housing association is offering a share of £7,000 to boost the services of local community groups and aid neighbourhood projects.

Chorley Community Housing (CCH) is inviting bids for a share of the cash from their Neighbourhood Fund for 2015/16.

“Our Neighbourhood Fund gives people a chance to make a real difference in their community with the chance to bid for a share of £7,000”

Chris Richardson, community engagement manager at CCH

The grant scheme has already supported 50 projects in Chorley this year and is available to individuals, residents groups, community groups, charitable organisations and social enterprises working in and around areas where Adactus have homes.

The fund has been used to help a host of local projects from youth clubs and dance projects to drama sessions.

Chris Richardson, community engagement manager at CCH, said: “Our Neighbourhood Fund gives people a chance to make a real difference in their community with the chance to bid for a share of £7,000.

“The application process for the fund is very straightforward and our Neighbourhood Development team are always happy to offer help and advice.”

Applications to the fund are judged by a panel of local residents who consider each and every bid on its individual merits and have the final say in which projects are awarded funding through the scheme.

For further details and application packs go to www.adactushousing.co.uk email grantwest@chorleych.co.uk or call 0300 111 1133.

Bids to the fund must be received before the closing date of noon on Friday, November 6, in order to be considered by the judging panel.
