When it comes to business, Matthew Penny has it covered.
The 29-year-old has just launched his first business, Flooring Service North West Ltd on Eaves Lane.
And the entrepreneur, who started his career in the RAF, is hoping that it will really take off.
He said: “I’m going to be retailing carpets, laminates, vinyls, tiles, and solid wood floors.
“The shop will officially open today (Wednesday, June 15) and it’s set to be a great occasion.
“When I left school I went into the RAF, and then have been involved in flooring ever since leaving.
“After going to college to learn the trade, I then worked for Winsford Carpets in South Manchester for two years.
“Eventually I became manager which was a great experience and I loved every minute of it.”
Matthew moved to Chorley in December after deciding to set up his own business.
He added: “People here have been very warm and friendly towards me and have been happy to help out.
“My service will be done on the same day.
“If you want samples fitting, they will be done too.
“Likewise if we had to place an order for stock, it will be a 24-hour turnaround.
“I’m going to be doing professional deliveries with a friendly service and no hidden charges.
“I’m going to be providing next day fitting, free estimates, free door plates and price match promise.
“I know a lot of people and suppliers and hope to make this business a success.
“I want to turn the business into a franchise for my family and children who will eventually carry on my name.”
