Three people were taken to hospital after a car crash at a busy Chorley junction.
A Vauxhall Astra collided with a Volkswagen Golf after pulling out of Butterworth Brow on to Yarrow Valley Way.
PC Martin Shaw, who was at the scene at around 5pm on Monday, said: “A man and woman in their 50s, who were in the Astra, and a man in his 20s were taken to hospital with minor chest injuries.
“I think the man driving the Golf down Yarrow Valley Way turned his car away from the couple’s, but they collided and his car ended up in the middle of the road. It’s a busy junction.”
The section of road was closed for just over an hour as police cleared the debris from the carriageway, and a tow truck took away both cars.
A fast paramedic and carrier ambulance attended the scene, and the air ambulance and fire service, which were both attending other jobs in the area, also offered their help.
