Chorley Community Housing (CCH) is to sponsor a short story competition for children as part of the ‘What’s Your Story, Chorley?’ event.

Prizes worth a total of £150 are available. The competition, which is open to children of CCH tenants, is inviting entries from three different age groups on the theme of ‘My magical house’.

CCH Director of Operations Richard Houghton said: “We wanted to be a part of the ‘What’s Your Story, Chorley?’ event and felt that this was a good way to get involved. Hopefully the theme ‘my magical house’ will get a few imaginations going and lead to some great stories for the judges to read.’

Entries will be judged by CCH staff and the winners announced as part of the ‘What’s Your Story, Chorley?’ event being held on Saturday, April 26.

Mr Houghton added: ‘We won’t necessarily find that the next J K Rowling is living in a CCH property but you never know”

More details about the competition are available on the CCH website or by contacting CCH on 0845 505 3355.
