Coppull Children’s Centre opened its doors to showcase what it does to the community.
The centre has been open for two years and has proved a huge success.
Coppull councillor Matthew Crow joined Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle at the event on Saturday.
Coun Crow said: “Our thanks must go to the families and staff at Coppull’s Children’s Centre who provide an essential year round support service for our residents.
“The integration and universal nature of centres like these make them a key part of the future of this community and others like it.
“It was a real pleasure to have been invited to open the fun day and I am looking forward to a close working relationship with the centre which has come to be a real beacon of good practice in both Coppull and across Chorley.”
Coppull Youth Centre is run by Lancashire County Council’s Young People’s Service.
Activities had an Olympic theme and included urban street soccer; zumba dance; trampoline; athletics; body combat; free climbing wall; dodgeball; and basketball.
