A Chorley man has been fined £40 for using ‘threatening or abusive words or behaviour’ which was racially aggravated. Jamie Rheinheimer, 44, from Blackhorse Street, Chorley, pleaded guilty. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A woman who drove without the relevant insurance has been fined £440. Nicola Cudworth, 44, from Foxglove Drive, Whittle-le-Woods, pleaded guilty, and had six points added to her licence. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £85.

A woman has been fined £220 for breaking a 30mph speed limit. The case of Shelley Louise Rachel Jeory, 25, from Greystones, Leyland, was proved in her absence. Three points were added to her licence, and she must also pay a victim surcharge of £22 and court costs of £85.

A drink-driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for 36 months. Bobby George Stewart, 25, from Haigh Avenue, Leyland, pleaded guilty. He was fined £260, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £26 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A 21-year-old has been fined for not wearing a seat belt. Calvin Adam Thomas, from Victoria Terrace, Abbey Village, admitted to the offence, and was handed a £75 fine. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

A thief has confessed to stealing a sat nav, sunglasses, binoculars, guitar tuner and charger, to the value of £357, from a man in Chorley. Antony Leslie Hunter, from Aliston Hall Farm, Adlington, was fined £120, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

A man has pleaded guilty to driving on the motorway at Chorley without due care and attention. Martin James Devine, 37, from Main Street, Buckshaw Village, had three points added to his licence. He was also fined £130, and was made to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

A man has been fined for failing to stop after a car accident in Weldbank Lane, Chorley. Brogan Donelan Wright, 26, from Pear Tree Lane, Euxton, was fined £130, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Five points were added to his licence.
