Chorley campaigners fly to US to back Obama campaign
A group of Chorley political campaigners are to fly to America this week to help Barack Obama's election campaign.
The trio, who all work for MP Lindsay Hoyle, will fly into Washington DC on Sunday before picking up the campaign trail in Virginia.
The youngest candidate in this year's Chorley Council election, Jonathan Pryor will be one of the campaigners pounding the streets of the state on behalf of Illinios Senator Mr Obama.
He will join Mike Gaskill, who runs Mr Hoyle's Chorley office, and colleague Stephanie Driver who works in the London Parliamentary office.
The group, who have all paid for their own trips and have taken leave from their roles with Mr Hoyle, will be involved in canvassing door-to-door as well as distributing leaflets and contacting voters by telephone.

Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle said the November 2 election would probably be the most important election in the US for a long time.
Speaking of the trip, he said: "It is a great thing for them to be involved in and it will be a good experience for all of them."
Guardian readers will be able to follow the group as they campaign in America through regular blogs posted on chorley-guardian.co.uk
Exclusive pictures and diary entries will be updated at regular intervals up until and including the election night.
