Here is a list of cases heard at Chorley Magistrates' Court
Paul Harrison, 34, of Dutch Barn Close, Chorley, was fined £185 by Chorley magistrates for driving at a speed exceeding 70mph on the M61. He also had to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. His driving record was also endorsed with five points. The offence happened on March 11.
Michael Craig Bell, 34, of Windsor Avenue, Adlington, was fined £120 for driving when under the influence of alcohol when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He also had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 40 months and his driving record was endorsed. The offence happened in Bolton Road on November 7.
Emma Yvonne Wilkinson, 37, of Clover Road, Chorley, was fined £120 for driving whilst under the influence of alcohol by Chorley magistrates. The offence happened in Church Lane, Charnock Richard, on October 17. She was also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
She was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for three years and her driving record was endorsed.
Declan James Smith, 18, of Devonshire Road, Chorley, admitted stealing a handbag, phone and bank card, to the value of £300 from Jessica Burgess and dishonestly making a false representation, namely using a debit card belonging when he attended Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He had to pay £351 compensation. The offence happened between April 20 and 21.
Pauline Fairclough, 73, stole a cardigan and a dress, of a value unknown, belonging to Birkacre Nurseries on August 12. Chorley magistrates fined her £200 and ordered her to pay £25 compensation, £30 victim surcharge and £60 court costs.
