A man has been ordered to pay £250 in compensation after damaging someone’s laptop. Karl Michael Montague, 27, from Ullswater Road, Chorley, pleaded guilty to the offence.

Eight points have been added to his licence, and he was fined £130, with £85 court costs. He was caught out in Steeley Lane, Chorley.
A 50-year-old has been fined £600 after he failed to give information to police about a driver accused of committing and offence. The case of Michael Richard Carney, of Shireburne Drive, Chorley, was proved in his absence. Six points were added to his driving record, and he was also made to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 in court costs.
A driver has confessed to speeding in Park Road, Chorley. Samuel Richard Jones, from Glamis Drive, drove faster than the 30mph limit. The 25-year-old was fined £140, with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in costs. Three points were also added to his licence.

A 47-year-old has been fined for driving faster than the 30mph speed limit in the A673 Bolton Road, Anderton. Adrian Nigel Price, from Bolton Road, Chorley, was fined £100. Three points were added to his licence, and he must also pay up a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
A driver was caught speeding in 30mph Bengal Street, Chorley. The case of Rebecca Thompson, 23, from Burgh Meadows, Chorley, was proved in her absence. She was fined £30, made to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £50 costs, and had three points added to her licence.
