Here is a summary of court cases heard at Chorley and Preston magistrates courts.

Jonathan Green, 31, of Grey Heights, Chorley, was fined £100 by Chorley magistrates for fishing without a valid licence. He also had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £60 court costs. The offence happened on November 11.

Marcus Alexander Hartley, 23, of Gordon Street, Chorley, was fined £660 for driving a quad bike without a valid licence and insurance when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He also had to pay £66 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from driving for six months and his licence was endorsed with six points.

The offence happened in Seymour Street, Chorley, on September 9.

Michael Raymond Wallace, 37, of Liptrott Road, Chorley, was fined £660 by Chorley magistrates for driving without due care and attention and without a valid MOT test certificate. He also had to pay £66 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

He was disqualified from driving for six months and his licence was endorsed with six points The offence happened in Moor Road, Chorley, on September 12.

Adam Ivan James Cadman, 23, of Devonport Way, Chorley, was given a 10-week suspended prison sentence for three counts of theft when he appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He also had to pay a total of £279 compensation to his two retailer victims: Debenhams and B&M Bargains in Preston and £115 victim surcharge. The offences happened on February 16, March 8 and 11.

Maegan Jean Lathrope, 29, of Hollinshead Street, Chorley, stole £60 worth of beef from Morrisons, in Chorley. She was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a drug rehabilitation order.

She also had to pay £115 victim surcharge and £60 compensation. The offence happened on February 7.
