Police are investigating the death of a baby in Preston.

Officers were contacted at shortly after 9.30am on Thursday March 23 by the ambulance service who were treating a 19 month old baby girl at an address in Lostock Hall, say police.

Police have confirmed that the death is being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to try to establish the cause.

Three people, a woman aged 18 and two men aged 18 and 19, from Lostock Hall have been arrested and are currently in custody.

Inquiries are continuing.
