A Leyland church group is singing the praises of a local businessman who has capped their activities with a generous donation.

The Good News Group (GNG), for adults with learning difficulties and which meets weekly at St Andrew’s Parish Church, took delivery of 60 branded ‘GNG’ caps, thanks to Steve Ward, managing director of Ad-Options Ltd.

Lynn McCann, a team leader with the GNG, said: “The members are delighted with the caps and are wearing them with pride. The next step is to work with Steve and kit them out with branded T-shirts.

“We are extremely grateful to Steve for donating the caps.”

Ad-Options Ltd, which is based at Langdale Road, Leyland, specialises in corporate branding, promotional business materials and gifts.

In 2015, the company is celebrating 30 years of trading and are donating to 30 ‘good causes’ along the way.

Steve and Lynn, who run an Autism Specialist Consultancy, Reachout ASC, met through BB4B (Breakfast Before Business).

He said: “We’ve always been very active in our community, as networking with familiar faces and people you can relate to is a very good way of building trust and valued contacts.

“We’re delighted to be able to give something back to some great causes this year.

“I was very impressed with the great work the St Andrew’s GNG are doing, it’s a privilege to be able to help them.”
