Gardens on the Chorley Moor estate in Chorley have had a spring clean after a 24-hour makeover of homes in the area.

More than 100 residents responded to a call from Chorley Community Housing (CCH) to help in clearing away garden rubbish and brightening up the properties with a coat of paint for the fencing and hanging baskets.

The works were carried out as part of CCH’s ‘Quality Streets’ programme.

CCH Neighbourhood Officer Rebecca West said: “Thanks to a huge effort by residents and staff, and because we were blessed with some glorious sunshine on the day, we’ve been able to make a real difference to the look of the estate.”

The estate recently benefited from a £4m investment programme.”
