A Chorley entrepreneur has shown he is fighting fit in business by setting up his own outdoor exercise company.
Stewart Boocock, 28, of Royal Road, spent three years working for a national gym chain but decided to go it alone after seeing a gap in the market.
Stewart has now set up Fitness Outdoors, which puts people aged 16 to 60 through their paces at Devonshire Road Recreation Ground.
He said: “I worked for national companies for a few years but about four weeks ago I decided to take the leap and do this on my own.
“Outdoor fitness sessions are becoming really popular, especially in cities, and it means towns are sometimes missed out.
“I saw a gap and started it in Chorley, on the parkland next to my house, with the idea of taking it region-wide.”
The group now has 12 members and meets every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Stewart said: “What we give people is motivation.
“People can be stuck in a gym on their own with no motivation and no idea what they are doing but with us the hour flies by.”
