There will be some very creepy guests at Adlington Carnival this year...and that doesn’t even include Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle

The event is taking place on the weekend of July 14-15 and momentum is building ahead of the fun-filled extravaganza.

On July 15, Crocodile Joe will be one of the main attractions at the Jubilee Playing Fields and he is bringing along some very exotic animals.

He will then take the children on an adventure with snakes, lizards, spiders and other creepy crawlies.

Organiser Jennie Snape said: “It promises to be action packed and there will be the opportunity for some lucky children to handle the animals.

“With shows like Deadly 60 and Steve Backshall so popular with children of all ages at the moment, this really is an event not to be missed.

“Crocodile Joe is passionate about animals and conservation and is keen to share his experience with as many children as possible.

“By giving children a hands-on experience of these wild animals, Crocodile Joe wants children to understand the importance their actions have on their environment.

“We were so excited when Crocodile Joe agreed to come down to our carnival field on the Sunday. My grandson has already met him and didn’t stop talking about it for weeks so we know it will be a huge success.”

“He is so enthusiastic about all his animals, it’s infectious and you can’t help but be enthralled.”

Although tickets for the event are free, they are on a first-come, first-served basis and will be handed out on the day.

As if that is not enough then there is Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) as one of the main attractions at 3pm on the Sunday. Jennie added: “He will be meeting and greeting as many people as possible.

“So why not come and get his autograph or have your picture taken with him, you never know you many even get a cuddle!”

“Adlington Carnival isn’t just on the Saturday, there is a jam packed day of events on July 15 too, put the date in your diary now.”
