A fire has raged through the roof of a bungalow in a Chorley village.
The blaze started at a home on Hillhouse Lane off Sandy Lane in Brindle on Tuesday morning.
Fire crews and three engines were called at around 7.15am to the home where they used three hose reel jets and two triple extension ladders.
It was said to have caused ‘extensive’ damage to the roof.
Coun David Dickinson, who covers Brindle at Chorley Council said: “I heard three engines were at a bungalow on Tuesday morning at about 7am.”
Crews from Chorley Fire Station and Bamber Bridge Fire Station were called to deal with the incident.
It was still ongoing into the afternoon on Tuesday.
