The skies over Chorley will be lit up this weekend at events to mark Bonfire Night.
There will be a Halloween theme at Astley Park on Friday, with a children’s fancy dress competition, as well as a bonfire, fireworks and other attractions.
Organised by Chorley Carnival and Chorley Lions, the gates open at 5pm, the fire will be lit at 7pm and fireworks start at 8pm.
Entry costs £3 for adults and £2 for children.
Red Bank Scouts will hold a bonfire and fireworks display at Duxbury Park on Saturday, with gates opening at 6pm, the bonfire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7.15pm.
Admission is by donations.
Washington Hall fire training centre holds its fireworks display and bonfire on November 5.
Gates open at 6pm, with the bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm.
Admission is £10 per car.
