Police have made five arrests following a break-in at a Chorley Catholic club.
Around £270 worth of alcohol was stolen in the raid at St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Harpers Lane, Chorley.
The haul included spirits and beer.
A cash box, value of the contents unknown, was also taken.
The raiders gained entry to the premises after smashing a window with a stone.
A member of the public raised the alarm, said police.
The five people arrested have all been bailed. The raid took place in the early hours of Wednesday.
A popular social and function venue, St Joseph’s Parish Centre re-opened after being fully rebuilt in 2001.
It has a games room with two full size snooker tables, a pool table, darts, dominoes and a large screen TV.
The purpose-built facility’s two large car parks are monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV.
