The six candidates hoping to become Chorley’s MP are taking part in a political debate hosted by the Chorley Guardian.

Members of the audience have arrived at Chorley Little Theatre to find out what the candidates have to say in the debate ahead of next Thursday’s general election.

Questions have been submitted in advance and cover a range of topics, including health, transport, education and young people.

The candidates standing in the general election in Chorley are: Lindsay Hoyle (Labour), Rob Loughenbury (Conservative), Stephen Fenn (Liberal Democrat), Mark Smith (UKIP), Alistair Straw (Green) and Adrian Maudsley (independent).

The MC for the night is Chorley Guardian columnist Tony Dawber.

The debate starts at 7.30pm and free tickets were snapped up in days.
