People from Chorley can put forward nominations for Lancashire’s Hall of Fame as part of a national campaign.

Marketing Lancashire’s chief executive, Ruth Connor, who is championing the initiative, said: “Chorley has so many significant and unique claims to fame, from the delicious and much-loved Chorley cake to landmarks like Anglezarke and Rivington Pike and historic houses such as Hoghton Tower, where King James I knighted a loin of local beef and created the Sir Loin.”

Nominations can be submitted by going to VisitEngland’s Facebook page or before Sunday, March 23.
