A twinkle-toed teenager will take to the stage alongside professional ballerinas in a theatre production.
Molly Brock, 14, was chosen from more than 200 young hopefuls when she auditioned for a part in Coppelia.
Molly will dance with the English Youth Ballet at the Plaza Theatre, in Stockport, in three performances on Friday and Saturday.
She is now in an intensive 10-day rehearsal process at Stockport Grammar School with the English Youth Ballet’s principal dancers to prepare for the shows.
Her mum, Sharon, of Highfield Road South, Chorley, said: “She is really looking forward to it.
“It has been a really lovely experience for her because she has been taught by professional dancers. She has enjoyed that and is making new friends.
“I’m really proud of her.”
Molly has been dancing for 10 years and attends Gillies Mar-Jan Stage School.
She also dances at St Michael’s CE High School, where she is the deputy head girl.
Sharon said: “She had always been quite a shy child and dancing has really boosted her confidence and brought her out of herself.”
Molly’s parents, Sharon and Graham, and dance teacher Gillian Pilkington, will be among those watching her perform in Coppelia.
