Football fans flocked to Chorley’s Flat Iron car park to celebrate with champions Chorley FC after their Evo-Stik League Premier Division title victory.

The event, which was held last Friday, saw more than 500 people turn out with banners and scarves hailing the victorious Magpies.

Boss Garry Flitcroft paid tribute to the support that the fans had shown all

season.

Director Andy Neild interviewed several of the Chorley players on stage and handpicked a number of fans out – with a particular highlight being club stalwart Jamie Vermiglio’s interview.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Chorley Coun John Walker and his wife Marie were in attendance, and presented the team with their Evo-Stik

trophy.

Councillors Joyce and Ralph Snape also attended the event along with leader of Chorley Council Alistair

Bradley.

The players posed for pictures and signed autographs for fans who applauded their heroes.
