Sweet lovers in Chorley can tuck in to more than Easter eggs this weekend thanks to the “Baking Lady”.
Sharon Ann Riley will be selling hundreds of homemade treats when she holds a cake sale in Chorley town centre on Saturday.
She has organised the cake sale to raise money for Help For Heroes, a charity supporting wounded soldiers and their families.
It is one of many fundraising events being held around the country as part of the charity’s Colossal Cake Sale initiative.
Sharon, an award-winning chef and baker who lives Chorley, said: “As the daughter of a retired soldier, the wife of an ex-soldier and the sister-in-law to an ex-Army/RAF serviceman and an ex-Naval nurse, I am proud to support our servicemen and women in whatever way I can.”
The cake sale will be held in a gazebo on Fazackerley Street from 9am to 4pm.
