Game led to naked fracas

A GAME of strip Monopoly led to a man appearing in court.

Kitchen manager Gary Williamson, 22, and two women ended up naked when they played the saucy game.

Instead of paying rent when they landed on another person's property they paid up by losing an item of clothing.

A drunken scuffle broke out which ended up with the police being called and Williamson arrested and charged with assaulting both the 20-year-old women.

Ian Dacre, prosecuting, told Blackpool magistrates: "One of the young women the took exception to the behaviour of the other.

"An argument started and one of the girls said she was headbutted by the defendant and the other said she had her hair pulled."

Williamson, of Hornby Road, denied assault. Both women did not attend court to give evidence.

District Judge Jeff Brailsford refused to allow the case to be adjourned and dismissed the case after the prosecution offered no evidence.

Defence lawyer Robert Castle said: "My case would have been that my client's girlfriend was annoyed by the other girl's advances towards him and that all he did was to try and keep them apart."
