“Gladiators, ready?” Young people went head to head in a duel in Chorley town centre on Saturday.

They caught the attention of shoppers as they took part in one of the half-term activities organised by the Young People’s Service in Chorley.

More than 90 youngsters also tried out a rodeo bull, zorbing, sumo wrestling suits and a “selfie” photo booth filled with props at The Zone, on Lord Street.

Activities were also held at the young people’s centres in Eccleston and Coppull, and at Fairview Youth And Community Centre in Adlington.

The sessions were organised as part of a Lancashire County Council scheme to give young people something to do during half-term and raise awareness of regular activities held around Chorley.
