Hundreds attend Chorley Playday
The sun may not have shone but that didn't stop hundreds of children enjoying some free fun at Chorley's Coronation Recreation Ground on Wednesday.
The four hours of uninterrupted pleasure were all part of the annual Playday, organised by Chorley Council.
Activities available included circus skills, balloon modelling, magic tricks, arts and crafts, clay modelling, football, bowling and cycling.
There was also be a Punch and Judy Show, a climbing wall and a Home-Start Teddy bears' Picnic for anyone who brought along a teddy bear.
This year international athletes Alyn Condon, a member of the Great Britain two man bobsleigh team and former Commonwealth and European sprint relay champion, and Great Britain handball team captain Ciaran Williams attended to officially launch the start of Chorley Council's new Streetgames summer programme.
The event was supported by the Chorley Play Partnership and Home-Start Chorley and South Ribble.
Coun John Walker, Chorley Council's executive member (people), said: "It was great to see so many families taking part in the fun activities and everyone seemed to be having a great time."
