More snow hits Chorley

Chorley drivers are bracing themselves for more chaos as the region sees a return of the arctic blast.

Snow started to fall at around 2pm today (Wednesday, February 3) and is set to continue for the rest of the day, according to Met Office weather reports.

Heavy snow is expected throughout the north-west and a severe weather warning has been issued for the region.

Drivers are warned to take extra care whilst on the road due to icy conditions, and are advised only to make essential journeys.

Forecasts shows that the snow is expected to turn into rain overnight.
