Mum racially abused supermarket manager

A MOTHER shouted racist remarks at a supermarket manager as he escorted her son away from a store he was banned from.

Amanda Bell said to the manager: "You should not be doing this, it should be a white person. Get back to your own country."

Bell, 51, of Terance Road, Marton, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards the manager.

She was given a six months conditional discharge and ordered to pay 30 costs by Blackpool magistrates.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the victim was the manager of Blackpool's Netto store, a shop Bell's son had been banned from.

On May 29 Bell was in the shop when she saw the manager escorting her son out. She pushed the manager in the back and racially abused him.

Gary McAnulty, defending, said Bell's son and other youngsters had been barred from the shop, not for any criminal behaviour, but basically for hanging around.

Bell was in Netto when she saw the manager pushing her son all the way out of the car park into the next store's car park.

The defendant said: "The manager called her an unfit mother. She became riled and made comments."
