The search is on to find Chorley’s Best Kept Garden 2014.
Nominations can be made for the competition, which forms part of Chorley’s bid in Britain In Bloom.
Jamie Carson, Chorley Council’s director for people and places, said: “You can nominate your own garden, a neighbour’s garden or a garden you’ve seen in the borough, but you must have the homeowner’s permission. The gardens can be any design or size but they must be visible from the road or pavement.”
There are categories for small, medium or large gardens and a community award, and the council has teamed up with Chorley and District Gardening Society, Chorley Community Housing and Birkacre Garden Centre to offer more prize money.
Nomination forms are available from the council’s Civic Offices, Chorley Community Housing and Birkacre Garden Centre.
