Police appeal over Chorley arson

Police in Chorley have released these images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an arson on Christmas Day, although details have only just been released.

At approximately 4am on December 25, police called to a house fire on Seymour Street.

Fire crews launched an investigation and three men in their early 20s were arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are now urging the man pictured to come forward and help with enquiries.

DC Carl Tobin said: "After reviewing CCTV footage it is thought that this man could have information that could assist us with our enquiries and I would ask him to contact police."

The man is believed to have left The George pub at 3.45am on Christmas Day and walked through the town centre, over the bypass, up Steeley Lane and into Seymour Street.

Anyone with information about the incident or the man pictured can contact police on 01257 246277 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
