Popular pub for sale
One of Chorley's most popular rural pubs has been put up for sale after the current landlord said he wants to spend more time with his family.
Property agents Fleurets have been appointed to market the award-winning Ley Inn, in Back Lane, Clayton-le-Woods, after long-standing landlord Peter Milnes decided to pack in the trade after 17 years.
The publican, who has two young children, said: "I've reached a point in my life that I just want a change."
The detached stone built pub comes with a massive detached function room, a popular bowling green and car parking for up to 80 vehicles.
However, annual turnover has dropped in the past two years as pubs across the country struggle to cope with dwindling trade.
Mr Milnes has lowered the asking price for the leasehold from 180,000 to just 100,000 in a bid to make a quick sale.
