Six arrests in Chorley drugs raids
Six people have been arrested on suspicion of alleged drugs offences after a series of early morning police raids in Chorley.
Addresses in Chorley, Coppull and South Ribble were all searched by police and five men aged in their 20s and 30s and one 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drugs and money laundering offences
As part of the investigation, police have earlier seized a substantial quantity of cash and suspected cocaine.
Det Ch Inspector Andy Gilbert said: "Individuals involved in drug dealing can affect everyone in the community but their activities significantly impact on the quality of life of local residents.
"These arrests are a culmination of a protected enquiry and I hope they send out a clear message that police will not tolerate drug dealing within any neighbourhood and will continue to take robust action in targeting offenders to ensure they are brought to justice."
Neighbourhood policing teams patrolled the areas where the arrests were amazed throughout the day informing residents about the police activity.

A 27-year-old man from Euxton was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply/offering class A drugs and money laundering;
A 38-year-old man from Charnock Richard was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply/offering class A drugs and money laundering;
A 33-year-old man from Leyland was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply/offering class A drugs and money laundering;
A 32-year-old woman from Charnock Richard was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply/offering class A drugs and money laundering;
A 36-year-old man from Coppull was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply/offering class A drugs and money laundering.
