Tributes have been paid to a mother and baby found dead at a house in Chorley.
The bodies of Angel Hudson, 26, known locally as Katie, and her 22-month-old son, Arthur Hudson-Cardy, were discovered last week at a semi-detached home on Princess Way, Euxton.
Today Angel’s father described her as a “devoted, loving mother”, and said the toddler was a “bright, intelligent little boy”.
Chris Howe said: “Angel Hudson, 26 years, originally from the South West but latterly from the Midlands; known as Katie, together with her son Arthur, will be sadly missed.
“Their short lives brought much laughter and joy to those who knew them.
“A truly special bond held mother and son together tightly and their pure love radiated from their beautiful smiles.
“Angel a devoted, loving mother and Arthur, a bright intelligent little boy radiated happiness to all those they met.
“Their light continues to shine in our hearts and we hold them tightly as we wait to be together once more.”
Since their deaths on Wednesday last week, it emerged that Devon and Cornwall Police had appealed for information about the former Devon mum and her toddler in October last year, as they had been missing for several months.
Police said Angel had left her Teignmouth home and may have moved to Spain with her young son, but they had not been heard of by family.
The appeal described Angel and Arthur as medium risk missing people.
A spokesman last week said the pair were traced to “another area” of Britain in December 2013 and were no longer considered missing.
Police launched a murder investigation, but said they were “not looking for anybody else in connection with this incident.”
